So I went downstairs to get a little cereal last night, and I got distracted by this movie my dad was watching. It was called "The Game," made in 1997 and starring Michael Douglas and Sean Penn.
According to IMDb, "wealthy financier Nicholas Van Orton gets a strange birthday present from wayward brother Conrad: a live-action game that consumes his life." The point of the movie is that a person or group of people is controlling Nicholas's life, and it seems that every single human is in on it.
The movie is really hilarious. I don't mean that in a bad way, I mean it's actually funny to see Nicholas going through all of this crap. It really becomes something like, "Who can you trust and who can't you trust." And the ending is really... well, you gotta see it for yourself.
: Rated R (United States) for language, and some violence and sexuality.
