The floods in my area

Well, in the recent days, there has been some flooding in my area. Here is some video footage of it in my suburb and surround areas.

You'll probably see my school where the road is flooded - it has a 40 speed sign and Yellow + Blue Signs where the school is.

This looks bad! My God, there would have been a huge loss to property and everything else. Saw your school Cohen. It looks in a mess too. Infact everything is in a mess. We had such kinds of floods in Mumbai in 2005. It was horrible. My house was flooded and I had to walk through knee deep water inside the house!

My house is fine. I am at school now and it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Some major roads are still flooded. You can also see where some of the water has been around the areas.

Some people are much worse off. But some people were very lucky.

I was just thinking about the vic floods. its good that your house is still good, cohen. Its kinda funny/weird though, how nearly every state on the mainland of australia is having disasters, but its missed the nsw coast, where i live. Lol

Australia is still cleaning up all the tragedies... Also making taxes higher.

What do you think about the higher taxes Cohen... seeming your from Australia.

A lot of cleanup has started, and it's all making progress.

As for taxes, I think it's a good idea, but it should go Australia wide, so not just for QLD, but VIC as well. There is a wide debate about it, and it would be another thread discussion.
