MyBB or phpBB?

This is purely subjective, but in my own sense of it all, MyBB is a fantastic bit of software, very user friendly, it has tons of mods and styles for it and it is pretty much idiot proof. PhpBB3 on the other hand is very much hands on, you really have to take things more seriously if you choose phpBB3, it is no walk in the park but the sense of pride you will feel from having put the time and effort into turning bare-bones phpBB3 into a fully functioning forum is quite the tonic.

MyBB or phpBB?

I'll go for MyBB. It's easy to handle, easy to work with, and easy to customize without modifying core files or anything. And it's even better if you can modify them, you can do more things!
It's good for beginners and excellent for advanced users.

MyBB or phpBB?

It is my understanding, from rumors that I've heard, that Phpbb4 will have alot of features in it that MyBB already has!

Just you wait for Mybb 2.0.
It will have some functions that scripts like vbulletin have and also something more.

MyBB or phpBB?

I like phpBB3 only because it looks sleek. I'd like to try out MyBB but I'm not sure Leif it has the features I want :/

The look of it is all dependent on the design. The default designs are always shitty. Put on a custom theme and anything can look sleek.

MyBB or phpBB?

I personally like MyBB better because it's more customization. With MyBB you can actually change the HTML around and add you own stuff, while in PhpBB you can't really change around any of the pages.

I haven't used either one since 2007, however, so I'm not sure if PhpBB improved their software to allow it.
