Hello there Host4Post!
After a few manic days, I am glad to be posting back on this forum!
I'm very happy to announce that Host4Post is now completely and successfully migrated to our WEB1 cloud hosting cluster. This has enabled H4P to take advantage of some of the power and redundancy of the services imagineLayer can supply. Furthermore, with weekly full backups, we can never loose too much of this forum in a catastrophe.
We have now also moved and propagated all sites off of Sheldon and onto Morpheus. There have been a few teething issues with the rush we put the server up in - but none of them have been service effecting, and we've been rolling out quick fixes. We are monitoring the server closely, and if there is anything go wrong, we will deal with it quickly. Should you run into any issues, please open a ticket.
Oh, and one quick tip, those Twitter'ers of you should follow @imagineStatus
for service updates about the imagineLayer network - if ever something were to happen.
Right, now some of the juicy info you've been waiting for - Server Data!
ns2.host4post.com (188.8.131.52) Yes, these IP's are supposed to be the same.
Anyone using their own domain with our services, and using the old ns1.h4p.us/ns2.h4p.us nameservers should immediately update them to the ones listed above. Unfortunately, we do not control the DNS delegation for the h4p.us domain name - and as System Administrator, I like to have control over these things, so I have moved our DNS back to a domain under our control.
Further to that, if you are a reseller sing whitelabeled DNS addresses, please update your records to reflect the above.
I'll be making some more changes around here soon, besides the new service deployment. As you can see: SEO friendly URL's have been fully enabled - and we are back under the old location of http://host4post.com/community/.
Feel free to post what you think will make H4P a better place to be, and open tickets if you experience any issues along the way.
