Anyone have one of these?

I'm thinking of getting one but the titles out so far aren't too impressive... I've also been a bit disappointed by motion sensitive gaming in general, the wii was a major disappointment for me (but this seems more free, if you get me).

The idea of swishing through albums with a hand movement is very sci-fi though, which appeals immensely Tongue
I think i am getting one for Xmas.... i'll be able to tell you if i did in 6 hours and maybe some more info about it.

I'll see what i can do. I'll post some pics on my website of me and the family playing it.
Ok, that will do too.
I got one for Christmas. It is so awsome!!!
I managed to get a play on one...just adventures and sports. It was really good, picks you up really well. I'm curious to see how other developers are able to push it.

If anyone has seen Infinity Blade for the iOS devices, I'm sure that'd be a great game ported to the 360. Such a fun way to play a game.
The scope for games on Kinect is pretty low, I mean how can you port popular games like Football, Cricket, 1st Person shooter, to the Kinect, no way to play them

And yeah, Inifinity blade is nice.

I agree that there are a lot of games still suited to a controller. In fact one of my worries with the Kinect and Wii is it means there is less incentive to create deep games with an engaging story like mass effect...

However, I still see a lot of potential for such devices. There is no reason those games can't take on a hybrid form, football can have penalty shootouts taken by Kinect for instance, and cricket can mostly be handled by kinect imo.

Yeah, the games can be ported, but albeit in a shorter format. Games like GTA, Spiderman, Racing Games, i mean they are the most popular ones, they cant port those.
i buyed the Kinect yesterday ,, it is realy amazing ,,, i love it much more then my psp :ninja:
I think Kinect is the technology of the future. I can imagine controlling a computer with only movements of your wrist and no keyboard or mouse. I'm sure somebody is thinking about this and we'll soon see some of these gadgets floating around. Kinect-o-mouse??

1. - That technology for no mouse and keyboard would be a very very very long time away. It would be hard to do that... and just imagine the cost for it!
2. - The name wouldn't be allowed because it'd be a copyright brand crap that Microsoft would bring up. So it'd be a different name.

When Google buys my company for 1.2 billion you'll remember this post... regards Cohen.

'If we have learned one thing from the history of invention and discovery, it is that, in the long run — and often in the short one — the most daring prophecies seem laughably conservative.' - Arthur C. Clarke :giggle:

I would love to see this developed further into a viable control method. A combination of voice for typing and some forms of control (a technology that is already very sharp) and hand gestures and movements for others, surely cannot be a far off reality?
