It certainly looks very interesting.
Information about Nintendo is trending on twitter at the moment. The hashtag #wiiu is a major hit.
What does everyone else think about this latest release for Nintendo? Is it going to be a big hit?

I think it will be like the Wii, the must have gadget for a year but then is pretty much worthless. It doesn't have the hardware or titles to keep up with better consoles.

The Wii is good, it was the big thing to have and was the big thing for movement in the Gaming World.
I think it will be good and it is great to see Nintendo getting back into the competition.
I just found this on Facebook, it is set to be around $250 - http://mynintendonews.com/2011/06/08/nintendo-wii-u-nintendo-president-says-wii-u-price-will-probably-be-over-250/
I might get one if i can get my brother and sister to go three way split with me.

I agree with Firestar, it would be a trend for say 6-7 months, not more.

The most exciting thing about it was how gorgeous Zelda looked.
I've never felt the need while gaming to have more than one screen, and the DS has failed to sell me on the necessity either.

to be honest I would rather see a fully functional 3d video game system for games like call of duty than I would another boring handheld. I mean get a wii u and you can place it right next to your apple I Pad, iphone and maybe play the same games on all of them! tablets will likely eventually replace all handheld gaming systems using rom emulators.
