I was using avg free but at one point i updated it and it deleted a whole bunch of windows files and well pc had to be reformatted now i have purchased bit defender 2010 and no problems with that other than switch to and from game mode sucks and doesnt always register as being on or off.

i use kaspersky 7.0.125 (firewall, antispam etc.)

That was a big mistake for AVG - i think that happened to my parents from memory.....

Avira/Avast free editions are pretty decent. Avira does show some false alarms.. Comodo firewall is very good. I can't say much about the AV used in Comodo.. its not that good.
