Has anyone checked out the new MyBB 1.6??? It is in Beta at the moment.

So far it is really good! I really like it!

I have set up a demo copy at http://beta.mybb.coloranks.info - Have fun!

It looks exactly the same as the one I use on my forum (I'm using 1.4.11) What new features are there?

You should upgrade to 1.4.13 Tongue.

New Features are only small features for the user, but for the admin, there is a lot more.

There are a lot more Account Controls for Admins, More settings.... its awesome Tongue.

MyBB is good - the only thing its missing is a good portal - I have seen ProPortal, its OK - but it has a long way to go..

It should come with a built-in one in your settings.

The built in portal is pretty bare.. It may not be enough for most webmasters. So if they are big fans of MyBB like the admin dudes over here, they need another CMS for the main site (I think H4P uses wordpress - correct me if I am wrong).

I tried out the beta and loved it. I think it is the first major forum system to ship with thread prefixes (IPB might though.) That is one of my favorite features of 1.6. There is speculation that it will be released on August 2, 2010, because that is when 1.4 was released.
